NalaThank you becky for Nala she is such an awesome addition to our family.she is really doing great:)
HoneyBecky,
I just wanted to tell you we increased my fence to 7 feet to keep our Nala Girl from getting out and it has done the trick. She is just a sweet dog and she has settled into our family. As you know, I thought about rehoming her because we could NOT keep her in the yard, but I just could not give up on her and because of her breed, I know it is harder to find a home for her, so we have decided to be her forever home, because she deserves that peace. I will always recommend for others to get a dog from you, I really appreciate what you do for the all your rescues and the extra mile you go to help these special dogs who deserve a second chance and it has given me a lot of happiness to be a part of helping the dogs you rescue. Thanks again, Janet ------------------------------------- AbbyHi this is melissa I adopted abby thus summer from u guys and I wanted to let u know she is doing great she is very spoiled . And very happy. But We been thinking about getting a playmate for her can u tell me more about sparky. And here is a pic of abby |

Cocoa(NaLa)
Hello, just wanted to update you on my sweet girl NaLa (formerly cocoa) This dog is my life, shes absolutely perfect. She came to me with some bad manners and lack of respect. Now she is the most socially acceptable pet I've ever met. She loves car rides, especially ones that end in going to the dog park. She is very obedient now too. She loves to play with her toys and swimming is top on her list as well. She has protected us and our family from several people that have broke into our yards and vehicles as well. Shes an outstanding guard dog. She loves my son (9months old) and lets him crawl all over her. She sleeps where ever he sleeps. She really is the best dog anyone could ever ask for. Thank you SO SO SO much! ♥ the Campbell-Fields The work you do is outstanding and definitely comes from the heart of a real person. You gave us more than a dog, you gave us our best friend and a forever family member. I can never thank you enough. Hey, I just wanted to let you know how much Cocoa is loved!!!! Her name is NaLa. She is amazing. And so so smart. She loves car rides and goes everywhere with me. To hockey, lacrosse, t ball. She just is simply amazing. She loves swimming. And toys. She destroyed a kong in a matter of hours and tennis balls are no match for her. We found that a pvc pipe with end caps Holds up very well against her jaws. she does pull when she walks but we are working with her consistently. She is getting much better and only tryst to pull my brother. A guy recommended a harness which only increased her strength. She is awesome!!!! We absolutely love her!!!! Came home and just blended right in. She plays well with other dogs and my cat. Not a fan of the ferrets. But she is getting better. Thank you so so much!!! |
Update on "cocoa" AKA "NaLa"
I just want to start by saying THANK YOU! I LOVE this pretty girl. She has been the best dog anyone could ever ask for. She is so smart and has become an amazing protector of me and my family. -When my son was 6 months old he began having seziures, as a first time mom this was horrifying and I was so scared. Without any training for it, NaLa became my sons "alert" dog. As my son would lock up and start to have a seziure NaLa would bark and if he was next to something hard (Such as a wall, coffee table)she would lay next to him so he didn't hurt himself. After a few months the seziures subsided and my baby is healthy now but she is still constantly by his side -This dog has been such a blessing to have. She is going on 4 years old and I couldn't imagine my life without her, she is simply amazing. Thank you SO MUCH for her. She has turned out to be a remarkable family member, I can't express in words how much she means to us |
Billy and Max
Here is a picture of max (cholo) and billy re-united after a week now at there new forever home where they are so very happy together:)
|
Dear Becky, Family and Friends;
I just thought I would drop you an update on how Billy and Max (Cholo) are doing with some fantastic pictures. As you know Max came to us first and was so unsure of himself lacking confidence. Would barely make eye contact, very skittish, and scared, tail tucked. After a couple of days with loving attention and reassurance, he came out of his shell little by little. Then we adopted Billy and reunited the two. Within seconds of the typical dog greeting of sniffing, they immediately knew BROTHER, were once again together forever! Since that time, they compliment each other, Max now is completely a different dog. He now has his tail up and wagging! His eyes wide with full of life and confidence. They both give each other jobs to do for one another...Billy giving Max confidence when unsure, and Max helping Billy into the car for rides to the Dog Park! They play constantly together, sleeping on each other when tuckered out from a full day of activities. They are happy, healthy, and full of life's vigor that was meant for them. Thanks again for everything you guys do, with your help and efforts, you have provided an improved quality of life not only for both Billy and Max, but as well as two humans! Your efforts don't go unnoticed, and are forever grateful! P.S. Max has the Blue Collar and Billy with the Red Collar. Mike and Jess. |
Polly
Bimbo and Troubles |
Dear Becky and Friends,
I just wanted to share some photos of our newest family member Polly. From the day we brought her home she has barely left my side. Polly's day starts at 4:00 am when she leaves with me to work at the golf course. She has the run of the office and the maintenance yard while enthusiastically greeting the members of the crew as they arrive. She loves riding with me in my maintenance cart and helping any way she can. By the time we get home she is exhausted and looks forward to crashing on her bed. In the short time we have had her, Polly has proven to be a great dog. Our family loves her, the guys at work love her, the golfers love to visit with her, and it is all thanks to people like yourselves who work so hard to bring pets like Polly and families like ours together. With sincere thanks, The Garvers, Andrew, Hollie and little Allie |
Bimbo and Troubles (AKA Beatrice and the dog on Babe Pig in the City). The one that got the other Border Collie with the docked tail pregnant. We have had them almost 3 years now. In that 3 years they have only missed either going to the dog park or going for a walk a total of 4 days. Troubles (AKA Beatrice) if have been told is park Dingo by at least 3 different people. She is wild but we love them both. Thank you again. Pat and Julie.
Lake
She looks pretty comfy. She had a nice meal and checked out the yard now I guess its nap time.
Olive(Sissy)
Just to let you know. Her new name is sissy and she was perfect on the ride home. She sat in the back seat being calm and sleeping. She still needs work on getting into.her crate, she does not like it at all. She is A.D.treasure to our family. Thank you so much Becky for everything. Sissy relaxing. Just had a vet and grooming visit
Danny
I just wanted to let you know I put an ad in pets praising your organization. As I mentioned in the ad I tried for days trying to find a baby with no luck. Not to mention the breeders that wanted hoards if money for the same kind of dog I got from you. I think its wonderful what you do. We live our new baby boy Danny. Thanks!
Bella
Hogan
Hi Becky ,Thought I would drop you a quick note and tell you how much we love Hogan. What a great dog he is! Like his profile said, he really does love all other dogs, kids, and cats. He especially perks up when he hears little girls voices. How heart breaking it must have been for his family to have to surrender him. Becky, if you have their contact information please let them know he is doing fine and that we love him to bits.We did have a bit of a scare with him earlier in the summer. He had a little bump about the size of a quarter on his lower side/rib cage, we noticed in late Feb. It didn't bother him at all and we forgot all about it. Had him into the vet for a totally different reason in June and as an afterthought asked them to check it out. Turned out to be a level 2 mast cell tumour. His surgery went well, although he ended up with about a 7" incision and we had some complications after; mainly popping stitches and staples etc because of the location. He's now seen all 5 vets at the clinic we go to locally and one at the emergency vets in Nanaimo. Loveable guy that he is though, he still gets all excited to go back and see them when we pop in to pick up his dog food.Hope all is well for both of you and that you are not too inundated with dogs. Thank you both for all the work you do their behalf. With much gratitude Nora
Boo
Hi, I adopted Boo who my daughter started calling Beau so we're working on getting him used to the name change. lol Anyway, He is perfect for the family. He loves my girls, doesn't bother our cats, he barks when he wants back in the house after he's been let out. We use a harness with him when we go for walks just like with our other dog and he doesn't pull, he does great. He loves playing, either fetch, running around with the kids or Abbey(my lab) he is awesome in the car. He either curls up on the seat or sits on the floor. We're still working on him wanting to paw you every chance he gets but that isn't even an issue with us, my parents or the kids. Quit frankly he's perfect for our family and I'm very glad we got to bring him home. I'd love to send you some pictures too. I will email you again later, I waited to make sure everyone adjusted to him and that all my family which includes my parents, who watch the dogs and my daughters when we're at work so they are never alone, didn't have any sort of an issue with him. We love him and Abbey is happy she has someone to play with all the time.
Susan Update two:) Hi. I adopted Boo ( now Beau) the, well I thought, bigger black lab boy with my girls from your family around mother's day the year before last and I thought an update was past due. :-) He's doubled in size since then, is super sweet, he now has a kitten I rescued at work that some kids were trying to run over, they are almost inseparable, he loves it when we go out to the woods or camping, is a huge cuddle bug and even handled our eight hour drive when we moved to south eastern Idaho two months ago like a champ. lol He's protective and watchful of both girls whether it's playing in the yard or swimming at the river or lake, he even swam out and swam a little boy back to shore this summer when the boy was having trouble. I never knew until then just how wonderful he is and how greatful in all honesty I am to have him in my family. Anyway, I still thank you for letting us bring him home and make us a part of our family, he loves sleeping with my daughters pillow pets and sprawling on the couch with my other dog as you can see in the pictures that hopefully loaded off my phone correctly. Buddy
Buddy is settling in nicely, what a sweet dog! You can tell he was a man's dog and he has again aligned himself with the Alpha male and hangs with him. Cassie is getting used to him, still grumbling and moaning but little else. Buddy was a doll about his bath and seemed to appreciate it too. He's good with the cats and the neighbors, nice about his food dish and I'm sure he'll be great with the grand kids. He'll make a better walking partner for Chis than Cassie does since Cass is a racehorse and Chris is not and Buddy doesn't appear to be either.
Drake
is now known as Jake and loves he new home on a big ranch where he helps feed and take care of the other animals. He even comes by to visit now and then.
Bella
Bella's new home: " We came in about two months ago and adopted Bella. I just wanted to let you know that we couldn't be happier! She fits into our household so well and we couldn't be more in love with one another. Thank you so much for the work that you do! "

We have changed her name to Matilda she is doing great. She is quite a character she think she's a cat and wants to sit on the back of the couch the back of my recliner she gets in the bathtub to get a drink the water she's just a funny little dog and we enjoy her a lot.
Luke
Luke is adjusting well. Likes our dog and our son, and loves the backyard. Hope your daughter is ok. Thank you!
Megan
Hello Becky. Just wanted to thank you soooo much for Megan. As you can see is doing awesome and is very loved. She has been an amazing addition to our family :)
Sugar
Hello I just wanted to send an update Foxy now Sugar because shes so sweet. Thank you so much She is a wonderful, wonderful girl and we couldn't be happier. Thank you!
Tony
Becky you dropped me off with Tana and Brian in Spokane. Soon as I got in there apartment I knew I was home. They had a toy and treats for me. Gave me tons of love and kisses! After I was there a little while they took me on a long walk. We ended up at the pet store. They got me a really cool harness and a pink pig which I picked out. When we got home they let me sleep on the couch! Then when mommy went to bed I went with her and guess what I got to sleep in the bed with her. I'm such a mamas boy. She told me I'm a big hog but she doesn't mind. They are such an amazing family! Thank you Becky.
Baby
Here's what we got from baby's new family.
Maizie
Maizie is doing wonderful in her new home. She listens very well and loves to sleep on the bed. She is very calm, and has already shown to be a positive member of the family- Mama was sick and was needing to go to the hospital and Maize laid right next to her talking until the EMTs arrived. What an awesome person Maizie is. Thank you for the chance to have her in our life.
Blaze
came in with belle and were placed together they are doing great in there new home as their owner writes.
Belle
They are both doing wonderful. I installed a doggie door back in January. It took them about a day or two to figure it out. Blaze was happy immediately but Bella took awhile to settle in. At first she was digging in the back yard and hiding under my deck. She didn't warm up to me until a few months had passed by and now she comes over for loving willingly. She's so funny though... that sad face all the time. She's plays now and both slide around on my hard wood floors; it is hilarious. Blaze likes to move things around with his feet. He moves the dog bed where he wants it. He will move the laundry basket across the room and then sleep in it. I sell Scentsy and the dogs found my inventory stash downstairs one day. They went through my 200+ bars and found two of the same scent they really liked and chewed them. I found out it was Bella... so funny they went through 80 different scents and decided on that ONE! Anyhow, I have a gate at the top of the stairs now so they can't go downstairs. Bella also likes to watch TV. She gets up on her hind legs and walks around checking out the TV. She's quite unusual but highly entertaining. Blaze is just an easy going fella.
Big Joe
Wahoo I've found my forever home
Update from Joe's new home he is doing awesome "just after five days he has adjusted so well it's like he has lived with me since he was a pup"
Lassie
A friend recommended I check Becky's Big Dog Rescue in my search for my
new "man's best friend". Starting from the picture and the description,
Lassie seemed an obvious choice. Intending to JUST visit her this
morning, I couldn't leave without her - at least on a trial basis. With
less than 24 hours into our relationship, we've bonded beautifully and
am confidant that we'll share many, many happy years together. THANK
YOU Becky and family for providing new hope for discarded pets for those
of us needing pets to love and be loved by!
