Do you love big dogs or just dogs in general? Would you like to adopt but adoption fees a little high for you? Do you have one that has outgrown the home? Maybe you're moving and your furry family member can't go with you? For whatever reason, we are here to help!! We take in all big or small animals. I know you say "but wait, it says big dog rescue" well what, more often then not, who needs rescued for some reason or tr-other "Big dogs" so we specialize in big dogs but will take everything else as well. So, if you have a furry friend you need rescued/ placed or your looking for that special someone to add to your family let us know because that's what we are trying to do. Then we carefully place them in new forever homes. So just contact us we are here to help!!

You Saved Me
Once I was a lonely dog, Just looking for a home.
I had no place to go, No one to call my own.
I wandered up and down the streets, in rain in heat and snow.
I ate whatever I could find, I was always on the go.
My skin would itch, my feet were sore, My body ached with pain.
And no one stopped to give a pat or to gently say my name.
I never saw a loving glance, I was always on the run.
For people thought that hurting me was really lots of fun.
Then one day I heard a voice so gentle, kind and sweet, with arms so soft reaching down to me you took me off my feet.
"No one again will hurt you" Was whispered in my ear:"You'll have a home to call your own where you will know no fear."
"You will be dry, warm, you'll have enough to eat and rest assured that when you sleep, your dreams will all be sweet."
I was afraid I must admit, I've lived so long in fear. I can't remember when I let a human come so near.
As she tended to my wounds ,bathed, and brushed my fur. She told me about the rescue group and what it meant to her.
She said, "We are a circle, a line that never ends. And in the center there is you protected by new friends."
"And all around you are the ones that check the pounds, And those that share their home after you've been found."
"And all the other folk are searching near and far.To find the perfect home for you, where you can be a star."
She said, "There is a family, that's waiting patiently, and pretty soon we'll find them, just you wait and see."
"And then they'll join our circle they'll help to make it grow, so there will be room for more like you, who have no place to go."
I waited very patiently, The days they came and went.Today's the day I thought, my family will be sent.
Then just when I began to think It wasn't meant to be, there were people standing there just gazing down at me.
I knew them in a heartbeat, I could tell they felt it too. They said, "We have been waiting for a special dog like you."
Now every night I say a prayer to all the gods that be.
"Thank you for the life I live and all you've given me. But most of all protect the dogs in the pound and on the street.
and send a Rescue Person to lift them off their feet."
What is our Mission?
We are here to save lives one life at a time trying to speak for the speechless.To take in dogs and other animals as need from individuals to dogs from our local shelter and finding them their loving forever homes.With an always open door policy we hope that all our 4 and 2 legged friends will always be happy together. We totally dislike the idea of a "kill" shelter (which works with us in our area ), although we do understand that it is necessary because of lack of space and over population. In these types of shelters, the animal really doesn't have much of a chance to find that forever home they deserve. They are limited on the time to get to know the dogs and giving them love and affection they so deserve. The dogs also have to compete with many other dogs and puppies in hopes of finding a forever home and as we all know puppies are so much cuter. Also, the adoption fees at shelters are sometimes more then someone can afford with these trying times!! The dogs we take in are well cared for. We evaluate them by spending time getting to know each animal and what their personalities are like. We play with them, give them treats and generally give them love and affection during their time here. We carefully screen each perspective new owner before placing the animal in it's new forever home to make sure the placement is good for the pet and the new family. We also encourage the whole family to come when its time to pick your new family member every one should have a say in that decision and we like to see that you all will get along. Do keep in mind it does get noisy here though so please be prepared for that if you come to visit.
